Samsung Electronics suffered a significant dent in its fourth quarter of 2016. The Galaxy sales were high, but the profits were quite the opposite. A fault in the Galaxy Note 7 battery made the devices to explode; they were recalled off the market and replaced with new Note 7 flagships. These too exploded. Samsung corrected the mistake and promised its consumers a newer, safer and elegant flagship; the Galaxy S8 and S8 plus. It’s been a decade since the first iPhone was unveiled.
“Apple is going to reinvent the phone” Jobs boldly declared on stage during the Macworld conference back in 2007.
Jobs was right about that.
The ultra-modern, simplistic design superseded phones with physical keyboards and numeric keypads, that we were once accustomed to, (which was impressive in itself!) but the iOS software, is what really revolutionised the way we interact with our mobiles. This last weekend we had a popup booth at the Tulip Time festival in Holland, Michigan. The weather was beautiful but a tad windy.
